Our Move Coordinators are available to assist you with all aspects of your relocation and serve as your point-of-contact throughout the entire relocation.
Move Planning
Contact us to set up an in-home survey to determine your relocation needs and receive a written estimate. This assures you'll receive the most accurate estimate for planning your relocation.
Consumer tip: During the in-home survey, make sure you point out any items to your sales representative that you will not be moving.
Packing ACME provides one of our quality trained packing teams to pack and protect your belongings. Packing will typically be done one to two days prior to the actual move day. We use the industry's best packing materials to protect your belongings. Our packers can assist with packaging special items to arranging for the preparation of appliances for moving.
Loading
On moving day, the van operator will inventory all items to be included in your move and provide you an inventory form for your signature. Carefully review this document, along with your other paperwork. Once signed, the loading process will begin. You will be provided with an expected delivery date for your shipment. This is based on your pre-planned window of delivery. Confirmation of your delivery date will be done in conjunction with your Move Coordinator. Be sure to provide either the van operator or Move Coordinator with your contact information during travel to your new residence.
Consumer tip: Separate all items being packed for the move from those being transported by you to prevent any confusion during loading.
Delivery and Payments
Delivery day is an exciting and busy time! Please be at your destination residence to meet the driver on the confirmed delivery date. It is typical for a driver to wait one to two hours for your arrival, however, should you fail to arrive in that time, additional charges may be applied. Payment is required at your new residence. Acceptable forms of payments include certified check or money order. A credit card may be accepted when arranged in advance through your Move Coordinator.
Unload and Unpack
ACME Moving & Storage will unload your shipment from the moving van and provide limited unpacking services. The driver will request your signature on all delivery documents. In the event of any loss or damage, please note the items involved on the inventory form prior to signing.
Consumer tip: Drivers are required to assemble bed frames and unpack mattress cartons to setup all beds. If additional services are needed, please discuss with your Move Coordinator.
